Oh god yeah, it's all so gross. It's taken me years to be okay with any iteration of sherlock homes in the wake of That Mess, and even then I can barely cop to it in public without cringing myself out of the material plane.
But, yeah, the first couple of times he pulls the growing-up-to-Thirst thing I was willing to buy it? The Madame de Pompadour episode was weirdly charming, despite the structural flaws. And Amy actually had a character arc and grew out of her thirst. And then he just...kept using the same plot. Over and over.
(Also, personally, it's not moffat-specific, but the way that it was presented that falling in love with/wanting to bang the Doctor was basically inevitable if one was even remotely inclined towards men-shaped things was Super Annoying. I LIKE Rose, and even then it seemed like half the time she was just there to be in love with the doctor.)
