It’s a retelling of the original five-year mission, but set in the new alternate universe. Spock’s pov the whole way through, and it does this amazing thing where it blends his emotions and his logic and it sits down and really explores what it means to have both, and to love Jim Kirk. Kirk/Spock, complete.
Graduate Vulcan For Fun and Profit [AO3] [ff.net]
A Good Time Fic. Jim was picked up by an old Vulcan language teacher on the ship home from Tarsus, learns approximately six billion languages, acts dumb right up until his teacher’s funeral, and gives everybody in his vicinity heartburn. Deeply hilarious. Gen, complete.

An away mission goes horribly, terribly wrong. Everything hurts. Kirk/Spock/Bones, complete.

Everybody and their mother recs this fic, and it’s not without cause. Sure, the prose is on the stiffer side, and Jim is a hyper-competent woobie in a way that quite frankly gets stale about halfway through, but it’s still fun. There are some well-developed OCs, and also space spies, and I cannot emphasize: it’s fun, if cheesy. Kirk/Spock, complete.

Instead of Starfleet, Jim Kirk joins the Federation equivalent of the Red Cross, or maybe the Coast Guard. This fic hurts to read, and it’s hard, but it’s the kind of hard, painful reading that heals, too. Kirk/Spock, complete.

Here, in the modern day, Kirk is a mob boss and Bones is a surgeon and they are both very much still Like That. Kirk/Bones, complete.

Hey, you remember Cupcake, that security officer who beat the shit out of Kirk on two separate occasions in the first reboot movie? Yeah, what if he got characterization? And a love interest that both makes sense and is totally out of left field? And gave a really interesting take on the bridge crew? Kind of like Atlas in the sense that despite not having the tightest or most fluid prose in the world, it manages to be engaging and fun anyway. Cupcake/Chekov, complete.
